The Bomben Skull Ring is the first and only authentic H.R. Giger skull ring, a detailed recreation of one of the three biomechanical heads in the artist’s 1983 painting, BOMBEN I, Work No. 505, The highly detailed 3D miniaturization of the Bomben Skull was originally commissioned for the control knobs of the new, 2008, H.R. Giger / IBANEZ guitar, and was sculpted by Eli Livingston under the supervision of Giger. In the ring adaptation (also sculpted by Livingston) the wraparound visor determined the finger band’s width and circumference, so it required that the ring be produced in two different skull sizes, 1” and .75” in height, to accommodate a wide range of finger, both thick and thin. The larger ring is for sizes 9 and up, the smaller ring for sizes 8 and below. However, IF IT IS CLEARLY SPECIFIED IN YOUR ORDER, it is possible to make a size 9 with the smaller skull and a size 8 with the larger one.
